TPNPB Kodap III Ndugama Derakma Holds Flag Raising Ceremony of the Morning Star Flag

NABIRE, TOMEI.ID | The Central Headquarters Management of the TPNPB National Commission has issued its Second Press Release containing a report from the Commander of Kodap III Ndugama Derakma, Brigadier General Egianus Kogeya, regarding the military flag-raising ceremony of the Morning Star Flag held on December 1, 2025, at the Wosem Headquarters in Nduga.

The event is claimed as a commemoration of the 64th Independence Day of the Papuan Nation on December 1, 2025.

In the report received by Central Headquarters, Brigadier General Kogeya inspected troop readiness and logistics. He ordered 13 battalions and 3 regional companies under Kodap III to immediately return to base in preparation for potential follow-up operations. Kogeya emphasized that he bears no responsibility for the actions of members who fail to comply with the consolidation orders.

Kodap III TPNPB issued a stern warning to the Nduga Regency Government, President Prabowo Subianto, and the community members perceived to support state authorities. All construction activities, including houses, roads, and bridges, in the 32 districts of Nduga were ordered to be halted, as these areas are considered within TPNPB operational zones. The only exception granted is for construction in Kenyam Town, which may serve as a relocation site for residents.

Kogeya also cautioned civilians who provide shelter to Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (Polri) personnel to exercise extreme care.

According to him, the presence of state security forces in Alguru could trigger broader military operations by Kodap III. TPNPB stressed that civilian safety cannot be guaranteed if military operations are conducted in Alguru, Kwiyawagi, and the 32 other districts of Nduga. They called on the Indonesian military to withdraw to prevent civilian casualties.

Furthermore, TPNPB highlighted the presence of security forces in the Kwiyawagi refugee area, which they claim is already under Indonesian military control. Kodap III declared its readiness to launch attacks should the authorities fail to vacate the area.

Addressing President Prabowo Subianto, TPNPB asserted that it is undeterred by the deployment of thousands of Indonesian military personnel in Papua. However, they urged that no actions be taken that would endanger civilians.

TPNPB also called on the local governments of Nduga and Lanny Jaya to evacuate residents from areas likely to become conflict zones, including refugees from Puncak, Ilaga, Sinak, Tiom, and Lanny Jaya.
